About
TREATMENT THAT BRINGS HEALING TO EVEN THE OLDEST HURTS
Trauma is common; research tells us that about 90% of us at one time or another will experience something in our lives that is traumatic. Most of the time, people experience difficulty after that traumatic event, and eventually, they return to functioning like they were before the traumatic event.
Some continue to experience symptoms long after that traumatic event occurred. Symptoms like anger/irritability, nightmares, times when trauma shows up during the day when you’re not expecting it, feeling disconnected from other people, not wanting to go places or do things anymore, and thoughts that the world isn’t safe, or people (or self) can’t be trusted.
Trauma changes us. It does not have to restrict your life. It is absolutely possible to create a life that makes room for the trauma that you experienced, AND doesn’t allow that trauma to control your actions or relationships. It’s been my privilege to help people shrink the impact of trauma and create lives that are full of meaning and joy.
